Erika Berland, a movement artist and pioneer in the field of somatic education as applied to both meditation and performing arts, and Wendell Beavers, dancer, choreographer, director and educator, began living and working in the Eclipse Mill in 2021.
They have made North Adams and Eclipse Mill the center for their ongoing research into somatic practice and its application to both wellness and the honing of performance techniques underlying psychophysical acting, contemporary post-post- modern dance and the generation of new multi-disciplinary performance.
